10/17/08 03:48 pm - UPDATE.
Thank you to everyone who wished me better! :) I went to the doctor and decided to update you guys on what happened.
Turns out I've got a lot of problems, haha. First thing they did was take my pulse which was at about 130 bpm. I told her it might be because I didn't have a lot of oxygen and I had just walked across the office so she let me rest and said she'd come back in a little bit to check it again. So she did. And it was at like 129. So the nurse says it looks like I am dehydrated and she brings me like four glasses of water. I down 'em but I was still thirsty. When she checked the pulse after that, 100! So first things first, I need to drink more water!!!
I also have a pretty bad sinus infection. She looked inside my nose and said it was really blocked off, which I knew. :P It was also pretty infected so she gave me some medication for that. She also said I definitely have a deviated septum so she referred me to an ear, nose, & throat doctor to get that taken care of. Of course, my parent's insurance runs out in January unless I'm a full time student so it looks like I'll be visit Mr. Nose doctor pretty soon.
After we worked all of that out, I made Rachel leave (lol) while I talked to her about two other issues I was having including my butt rash! TMI, I know. But anyway she couldn't help me much and just said I could go to a dermatologist since it wasn't itchy or anything. It's not really a big deal to me so I'll probably just wait on that until I have more moneys.
THEN I was really embarrassed but I was telling her about my ~mental struggles~ and first she asked me if I had been tested for ADHD and was telling me I don't have to be crazy-bouncing-off-the-walls to have it. Well then we went on and talked a little more about some of my anxiety issues and everything and she put me on a low dosage antidepressant Citralopram or Celexa I guess they call it. If anyone has any experience with this, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
All in all, I ended up with three prescriptions and was sent home with a nasal spray and some other tablets to take. I just hope everything works out ok and I start to feel better-- mentally and physically! :)
